ECR Mercury 140F is designed for money accounting with customers in trade and service. It performs cash operations of bookkeeping and control, print out receipts, control tape (purchase electronic log ), accounts. The ECR has two LCD displays (two lines, 16 digits, backlight in each) for the customer and cashier, built-in rechargeable battery to provide fail-safe operation in case of short power failures, thermal printer, two ports RS-232 for connection of bar code scanner and electronic scales, and common port RS-232/RS-485 for connection to computer and computerized network.

The ECR can operate as part of network either in ON-LINE or OFF-LINE modes. With its connection to computer, it is possible to program price database and ECR parameters. Another version of ECR with extended number of ports RS-232 (up to 5) and with two-tapes thermal printer for simultaneous print of receipt and control tapes – Mercury-140F2 is also available. The goods identification is executed by the internal codes or with the help of scanner by goods bar code. Greece software version exists.
