The concept has been designed for industrial applications only and can't be applied to households.
It’s a work in process, subject to expert discussions and assessment.
SY-Lighting is targeted to make super-efficient LED lights and drivers for industrial applications, with parameters that have never been achieved before.
SY-Lighting has LEDs powered directly from rectified voltage of a three-phase network (600-650V), and luminaires and drivers galvanically coupled with mains voltage.
Main applications:
- Industry sectors;
- Retail chains;
- Shopping centres;
- Street lighting;
- Road Lighting;
- Airports;
- Railway stations;
- Sports arenas, etc.
KEY BENEFITS:
- Efficiency of drivers ≥0.98-0.99%.
- 5-30 times lower wattage required to supply luminaires with the same consumption.
- Power factor nearing 1.
- Low THD (subject to special measures taken).
- Safe frequencies of light over 300Hz.
- 2-3 times increased reliability and lifetime of luminaires.
- 20-30% lower cost of luminaires.
- 4-20 times reduced dimensions, weight and cost of drivers.
- 2-3 times increased reliability of drivers due to lower wattage, absence of E-caps; in some cases there are only LEDs in a luminaire.
- Using power cables for dimming and emergency supply.
- Reduced energy losses due to higher supply voltage.
- Phase stability irrespective of the number of failed fixtures.
- 10-15 years warranty for luminaires with only LEDs inside.
- Making ≥2-5kW fixtures with ≥200-600 klm becomes easy.
- Easy to make a bulk of lower-power luminaires with dimming and emergency kits, and cost 1.5-2 times lower than traditional fixtures.
- Near-zero or zero maintenance with fixtures with LEDs being in inaccessible places (on poles, ceiling, etc.) and easily accessible drivers at the bottom of a pole or in a power cabinet.
- Correction of initial phase instability of three-phase networks with high-power SY-Lighting luminaires.
- Luminaires with IP67 and Safety Class II are easier to make, with drivers outside.
- 5-12% direct energy savings.
- Significant 5-12% cut down on heat emission for environmentally friendly solutions.
- Single-phase compensation current source can be used.
